As of now, the Lenovo K5 Plus is available in 3 color variants - Gold, Silver & Black. Even though the device doesn’t come with a metallic body, which has become the trend now, but the mixture of Aluminum back gives the device a premium feel.

Fast forward, let’s now talk about the hardware, and to be frank, it is not frequent that Lenovo uses a Snapdragon processor, because most of their budget smartphones come with a MediaTek processor, however, this time, Lenovo went ahead with the Snapdragon chipset, as a result, the device packs a new powerful Snapdragon 616 64 bit octa-core processor; the first four cores are clocked at 1.7 GHz, and the lower four cores are clocked at 1.2 GHz.
The processor is getting supported by 2 Gigs of RAM, however, there is also a 3 GB model available, so when it’s come to multitasking; the device offers a smooth experience, while jumping in out of apps, but you might face some
For gaming, Lenovo has used the old Adreno 405 GPU, but surprisingly, the device seems to handle games pretty well. You will able to play
Out of the box, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus runs on the Android v 5.1 Lollipop, which is a kind of a setback, because, many were expecting that the device would come with the Android Marshmallow, and on top it, the device runs on the custom Vibe UI.
The Vibe UI is not considered a good Android custom skin, and sometimes the UI seems to create some issues, but Lenovo seems to be bringing in some good improvements and optimization with their custom UI. In addition, it is worth mentioning that there is no official statement whether the Vibe K5 Plus will be receiving the Android Marshmallow update.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus packs a 13 MP rear facing camera, which is getting assisted by a LED flash, whereas, at the front there is a 5 MP camera for taking selfies, now before talking about the quality, it’s good to let you know that Lenovo doesn’t have a good reputation regarding their cameras, and that’s exactly the case with the Vibe K5 Plus. Even though it’s a 13 MP camera produces good images but lacks detailing and color accuracy. Both the cameras allow you take some pretty good images in good lighting conditions, however, the scenario changes drastically when you take pictures in low-lighting conditions, pictures tend to be blurry and noisy but And quite frankly, you can expect much from a low-budget device.
Currently, Lenovo is offering two models of the Vibe K5 Plus, the older one features 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory, whereas, the new one comes with a 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, so if you are someone who does a lot of heavy multitasking then you can go with the 3 GB variant. You can also expand the memory up to 32 GB by using a micro SD card slot.
At the back of the device, there is a 2750 mAh Li-
DOLBY ATMOS & Theatre Max
Well, this something, which needs to be highlighted, the Vibe K5 Plus is first low-budget smartphone from Lenovo to pack DOLBY ATMOS supported dual speakers and it also comes with Theatre Max technology. The DOLBY ATMOS sounds impressive but the sad part is the sound quality doesn’t match up to its expectation.
Is the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus worth buying? Well, that depends on a lot of things, like all the other smartphones, the Vibe K5 Plus also has some pros and flaws, it doesn’t come with a fingerprint sensor, metallic body, and also doesn’t run on the latest Android O.S.
But on the positive side, the device packs a full HD display, a powerful Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor, a powerful battery and comparing the price to performance ratio, the Vibe K5 Plus K5 Plus can hold on its own.
