Jeff Hardy to miss Wrestlemania 34

The Hardy Boyz got the biggest pop when they made their comeback at Wrestlemania 34. The broken gimmick has been one of the key reasons why fans went crazy to see the Hardy Boyz back in the WWE.

However, after returning we haven’t seen the full of the broken gimmick in WWE due to the ongoing legal battle between the Hardy’s and GFW for the rights on the use of the Broken gimmick persona.

Sadly WWE hasn’t done much with the Hardy Boyz since their return. After dropping their tag team title to Sheamus and Cesaro, the Hardy Boyz has been pushed down the mid cards.

According to sources, Vince McMahon wasn’t much interested in the broken gimmick rather he was very much interested in giving Jeff Hardy a major push, thereby making him face Brock Lesnar at next year’s Wrestlemania.

After all, Jeff Hardy has always been a fan favourite, back in 2009 he was the one the top guy in the SmackDown roster.

Anyway, since last month, Jeff Hardy has been missing the weekly show RAW and the reason behind is because of his bad right shoulder, which he injured back in July, despite he kept on performing but now he finally went for torn rotator cuff surgery couple of days ago.

The Charismatic Enigma shared this photo on his Instagram account, after his surgery.

Even though Jeff Hardy’s shoulder surgery successful PWInsider reports suggest that the Extreme Enigma will be out of action for at least 6 – 9 months, which means that Jeff Hardy is not only going to miss the upcoming PPVs but he is also going to miss next year’s Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 34.

Now that’s certainly not a good news for WWE or for the fans. This has also resulted in several changes in the storyline which the WWE creative plan has been working on.

A few months ago, there was news that WWE was going to purchase TNA which would give WWE the right to use the broken gimmick and also give them access to use old wrestling footage of former stars like Bobby Rhode, AJ Styles, Jeff and Matt Hardy and other superstars.

As of now, Matt Hardy has been teaming up with Jason Jordan on RAW but that also is not going last for long as Jason Jordan is set to be given a major push, that’s why WWE created the illegitimate son storyline a few months ago.

WWE shows like RAW and SmackDown are not getting a good ratings or viewership, the lack of big stars is considered to be the major reason behind this and with Jeff Hardy gone for 6-9 months, the viewership is expected to drop a bit.

Even Triple H is reportedly unhappy with the way the creative team has been using superstars like Finn Balor, the Hardy Boyz.

There are also estimates that Jeff Hardy is not only going to miss Wrestlemania 34 but also will be missing Extreme Rules PPV, and will not be able to make a comeback before next year’s Summerslam.
