Good thing is that these Chrome errors can be fixed without a help of any third hand, by yourself. All you need is a proper method to fix the ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT error.

How to Fix ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT Problem in Chrome?

Here I am sharing some of the most effective solutions to get rid of ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT issue in the Chrome browser. Matter of fact, these are the solutions I have found beneficial while my Chrome browser was acting funny. So, check these out.

Solution 1: Editing Windows Host File

In most of the cases, a certain website is not reachable. It says This webpage is not available when you try accessing it. While other websites are showing normal, if any particular site is not accessible, there is a chance of blockage. Editing your Windows host file and removing the site URL from it can fix the issue.

Step 1: Locate the Notepad and click to open it.

Step 2: Now click “File” option located on the top left corner and then click on “Open.”

Step 3: Now browse through “Computer>Local Disc C:>Windows>System32>Drivers>etc.”

Step 4: Select the “All files” option instead of “Text Documents (*.txt).” Otherwise, the hidden documents won’t be seen.

Step 5: Now click to open the “hosts” file and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Step 7: Again click on the “File” option and then click “Save.”

That’s it. Now, you can check your desired website if it is allowing you to access.

Solution 2: Flush DNS Caches

Sometimes overwhelmed or outdated DNS caches can cause some interruptions in browsing habit. Removing the old and renewing DNS cache seemed to be fixing the issue of ERR_COONNECTION_TIMED_OUT in Chrome browser.

Step 1: Go to “Windows,” type and search “cmd” to open Command Prompt as the system administrator.

Solution 3: Clear All Chrome Browsing Dada

Your Chrome keeps records of all the browsing history and data. Over the time, the browsing cookies and caches get overloaded and make the browser sick. Clearing up these caches and cookies can help.

Step 1: Click the Chrome Customization Icon located at the top-right corner of the browser.
